Paylib: A new payment service simple, secure and multi-channel for e- and m-commerce, based on Worldline's expertise in innovative payments

Paris, 24 September 2013

BNP Paribas, La Banque Postale and Société Générale launch Paylib, a new payment solution on the internet and mobile, user friendly, seamless and secure. Worldline, Atos subsidiary for e-payment services, used its operational capabilities and expertise of its solutions for E-wallet and authentication on mobiles for creating Paylib. The solution allows to make a payment with a simple personal identification code, without entering his credit card number from his computer, tablet or Smartphone.

 

Paylib solution offers a new way to settle ones purchases in e- and m-commerce, user friendly, highly secure and guaranteeing confidentiality of personal data. It offers both the individuals and merchants the same level of security, similar to a proximity payment by credit card, with a novel way of purchase for e-and m-commerce, seamless and without the necessity to re-enter information related to the card (card number, expiry date and CVV).

 

BNP Paribas, La Banque Postale and Société Générale have chosen Worldline for its expertise related to e-payments and management of large projects. In addition to the experience of the three banks, the know-how of Worldline related to innovative and secure payments solutions have jointly contributed towards the creation of Paylib. Worldline relies on its multi-channel E-Wallet which allows paying for online purchases with credit card, without having it in hand, as well as its comprehensive solution for strong authentication on mobile, offering the best compromise between user experience, security and price.

 

The project has been executed in collaboration with operational teams from the three participating banks in record time: Only 11 months were required to execute a very demanding project, at the functional as well as technical and security levels.

Eight important French e-traders have already given their consent for implementation of Paylib which is available from today for 23 million individual network customers from three participating banks. They offer Paylib via a mobile application, dedicated or integrated into the online banking application.
