Paris, 25 September 2013
Worldline, Atos subsidiary for e-payment services and transactional services, has been selected by The Green Link to develop and host its information system, as well as to provide solutions for urban delivery. Worldline has provided The Green Link with a custom-made solution based on an innovative industrial platform. Worldline’s know-how allows The Green Link to optimize its logistics processes by automating and sharing the preparation of routes.
Worldline has developed and implemented cutting-edge technology solutions for The Green Link (payment, mobile applications for suppliers, delivery process automation tools, real time notification tools for the consumer). The Green Link can also differentiate between its contractors such as FEDEX and TNT by providing fluid, seamless services with added value for consumers.
The Green Link offers an innovative urban freight and merchandise transportation approach. Through a network of strategically located warehouses and electric vehicles, The Green Link handles “the last kilometer” delivery for transporters such as FEDEX or TNT.
With this partnership, Worldline has shown its technical innovation and knowhow, which allows the Green Link to provide ecological and intelligent solutions for current transportation and delivery challenges in urban centers.
"Worldline is the trusted partner that we have selected to help us meet our growth objectives. Worldline’s expertise plays a fundamental role in providing information to the end client. In the field of mobility, real time monitoring of delivery routes allows us to guarantee our missions each and every day. Worldline adds value to two fundamental points, payments and Business Intelligence. Worldline has invested in the latest trends to meet Transportation and Logistic challenges: urban delivery and real time monitoring for the logistics provider and the consumer. We are a capable partner to assist transportation and logistics actors by offering innovative, fluid and seamless solutions for consumers,” says José Coral, the director of the Telecom Media & Utilities Business Unit at Worldline.
About The Green Link
Founded in 2009, The Green Link’s approach is to test, validate and deploy a concept by pairing up logistic centers and ecological tools in downtown Paris. A report was drafted by several towns to encourage transporters to move towards logistics that are better suited to environmental, social and economic requirements in urban zones; In order to begin work in other European cities, The Green Link wants to assist logistic actors in implementing ecological solutions that are in line with the cities’ regulatory codes.
