PaymentIQ core and usability deliverables

Worldline continues to refine our Payment Orchestration platform with tools that improve user experience and drive better transaction outcomes. For example, latest updates to NodeIQ – a sophisticated rule-based engine and visual rule builder – are designed to make payment flows easier to manage and configure through a new intuitive visual interface. There are also a number of additions to our global roster of Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and roll-outs of new payments capabilities.

Already completed:

  • Status Page – this monitors the uptime and performance of the Payment Orchestration APIs and back-office services. It offers real-time insights and transparency, which are critical for merchants managing high transaction volumes. We are also looking at incorporating providers into the status page in a way that is not too complex. There is a blog post about the new status page where our customers can give their feedback.
  • Scheme Token Onboarding Page – customers can now onboard our shared service scheme token functionality for any PSP that uses scheme tokens. This enables integration with multiple PSPs and acquirers through a single scheme token interface. New PSPs and acquirers will automatically be added as the Payment Orchestration team adds them to the scheme token functionality.
  • All rules migrated to new standard – we’re introducing new, cleaner views for all rule pages. There is a blog post about the new standard where our customers can give their feedback.
  • Transaction view migrated to new standard – we’re introducing new, cleaner views for all transaction pages. There is a blog post about the new standard where our customers can give their feedback.

Coming up:

NodeIQ visual rule builder – this is currently in development (for 2025) and we are looking for customer feedback.

Product catalogue upgrade – we’re making continual additions and improvements.

Status Page, Phase 2 – this will incorporate PSPs and their statuses.

Adaptive Payment Retry – designed to increase acceptance rates, this feature offers fallback solutions in scenarios where transactions are at risk of failing. By displaying alternative payment options or retrying transactions with lower amounts, this helps to maximise conversion rates.

Provider Wizard – we are making further improvements to the configuration wizard we introduced in 2023, and we’re hoping that more and more customers will start using it (users will still have the old xml configuration next to the wizard, so they can use it simultaneously if needed). There is a specific section in the documentation portal on how to configure it.

DocuPortal – we are improving our documentation portal to provide improved navigation, detailed guides, and step-by-step onboarding resources, addressing specific pain points reported by users.

PCI 4.0 – implementation of this standard will be completed soon.

NodeIQ usability enhancements

Our upgraded NodeIQ enables users to see and configure their payment rules in one consolidated, intuitive view, minimising the need to navigate through multiple pages, and optimising time spent on back-office management. The aim is to make rule building more visual: we’re not rebuilding the rule engine, but improving the look and feel and usability of the rule builder.

The new 'All rules' page shows all new rules, built in the Rule Builder in one place: there's no need to go to multiple places for each flow or node. We’re adding items such as 'Success rate' for specific rules to the view, as well as a ‘approval pending’ status that enables users to submit to a colleague for approval.

The 'Rule builder' page will have everything in one place, so users no longer have to go to multiple different pages in the back office to ensure they have all rules configured for one payment flow. They start with the preconditions, payment methods, routing, and then go on to add new categories, such as fraud and limit rules.

The ‘Performance page’ within NodeIQ provides in-depth analytics on each rule’s success rates, helping users identify high-performing configurations. This page also enables benchmarking across rules for A/B testing, giving merchants the data they need to fine-tune their strategies and ensure higher success rates.

There’s also a new ‘Simulator’ page, where users can select their rule and simulate the checkout flow, using that rule. Users no longer have to do their own simulation of the checkout, or engage a developer: they can do it directly in the back office.

New PSPs and payment methods

Worldline has added two new PSPs to our orchestration platform:

Banky – the Open Banking subsidiary of LuqaPay (one of our existing providers), which mainly provides instant bank transfers in 21 countries and 12 different currencies, with a focus on e-commerce, travel, gaming, iGaming, and healthcare.

Kushki – an Ecuador-headquartered PSP with extensive coverage in the Latin America region. Kushki supports credit cards, debit cards, digital wallets, bank transfer, and cash payments in Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. In terms of sector focus, Kushki is strong in retail, education, gaming, and iGaming, tourism, and utilities. It also provides services to other PSPs.

Worldline has also added 30 new payment methods across 20 different PSPs worldwide. These include a wide range of mobile payments and wallets, bank transfers and local payment methods, recurring payments and subscriptions, alternative payment methods, real-time direct debit payments and others.

Integrations upgrades

Already completed:

  • PayPal – we have migrated to a completely new integration stack, which will improve conversion rates and offer additional services and payment methods. These include recurring payments, tokenisation, and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL). Venom and Express Checkout will be enabled in the future.
  • Nuvei – we have upgraded integration to enable new features, including the addition of Google Pay and Apple Pay payments and recurring payments, as well as partial refund, partial capture, account verification and Mobile-Order-Telephone-Order payments.
  • American Express – we are in the process of upgrading our integration to enable new features, including card tokenisation and account verification.
Coming up:

  • Worldline – we will enable new services including address verification, scheme tokens, and chargeback notifications
  • Worldpay – we will enable additional services including Instant Payouts (VISA Direct and Mastercard Send), and Account-funding Transactions.
  • Mercado Pago – we will add coverage in Chile, Colombia and Mexico.
  • Our longer-term roadmap includes several global PSPs (including Rapid, PayU, and Visa CyberSource), as well as local PSPs (including icash.one, DPO Pay and PayTabs).

These updates and additions reinforce our commitment to advanced payment orchestration through innovative solutions, enhanced support, and global expansion.
