<articleBody>As part of this commitment, the company participated for the third consecutive year in the Worldline Clean Up Days, the annual global initiative organised by the Worldline Corporate Foundation. On 17 September, Worldline Greece volunteers, in collaboration with the non-profit organisation Save Your Hood, cleaned the beach at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF) in Piraeus, collecting 3,200 litres of waste. Earlier, on 5 June, the volunteer team cleaned a forested area in the Cholargos region, collecting a further 4,500 litres of waste. Of the total amount collected this year, 6,700 litres were mixed waste and 1,000 litres were recyclable, while the items collected included plastic and aluminium packaging, crates, polystyrene, stadium seats and single-use packaging. This year’s international Worldline Clean Up Days, which took place from 14 to 18 September as part of Sustainable Development Week, once again combined volunteering with financial support for environmental causes. The Worldline Corporate Foundation is allocating €20,000 to support environmental organisations, with employees also taking part in selecting the organisations to be supported. The Clean Up Days have now become an ongoing initiative for Worldline in Greece. The collaboration with Save Your Hood began in 2024 in the Chaidari Forest, where volunteers collected 4,100 litres of waste. In 2025, the initiative continued with clean-ups at the Artemida beach, Agios Nikolaos beach and Dafni Viewpoint, where approximately 7,200 litres of waste were collected. For Worldline in Greece, this initiative forms part of a broader environmental approach that extends into the company’s day-to-day operations. This includes the collection of clothing, children’s items, toys and smartphones, the implementation of a no-plastic policy in office kitchens, as well as the collection of paper, plastic, glass and batteries for recycling. Through ongoing initiatives and the active participation of its people, Worldline in Greece has embedded environmental responsibility practices both into its corporate operations and into its engagement with local communities.
