The Originals & Worldline have negotiated competitive conditions for Acquiring & DCC according to the Interchange++ cost model. Get in touch now to get the latest offer for your business.

How does Interchange++ work?

Acquiring cost of a card payments consist of three components:

  • - Interchange: Fees charged by the cardholder bank on each transaction. Rates are fixed by the payment schemes (like VISA or MasterCard) and are the same across banks and financial institution.
  • - Scheme Fee: Fees charged by payment schemes on each transaction. The rates are also fixed by the schemes.
  • - Plus Fee: This is the fee charged by the acquiring bank or financial institution such as Worldline for processing your payments. The plus fee is specified in your contract.

Interchange and scheme fees vary per transaction based on card and transaction specifics, but Worldline simply passes these costs to you without mark-up, only adding our agreed Plus Fee.

Merchants benefit from complete transparency via an online portal that details all transactions and costs, with automated or customisable reporting.

Worldline provides a transparent solution with a breakdown of each commission, with no margin on interchange commission or network fees. There is a fixed transaction fee of 0.16%.

FAQ

  • Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) is a foreign exchange service provided by Worldline for cardholders using cards in a currency different from that of the Merchant. By accepting DCC, cardholders can pay in their own currency with a clearly displayed conversion rate and a 3.75% fee. Worldline also offers a best rate guarantee. Cardholders may choose to decline DCC, in which case their bank will manage the currency conversion. The Merchant is always paid in their own currency.

  • For each transaction processed with Worldline's DCC, the Merchant receives a revenue share of 1.2% of the transaction value. The annual revenue share will vary based on the number of foreign cardholders using the DCC service, which is influenced by the Merchant's location and customer base. To educate cardholders on the benefits of DCC, training materials are available for cashiers.
