In the continuously evolving issuing market, digitisation and modernisation are key to stay on top of the competition. Innovation and state-of-the art technology are crucial to keep abreast of new developments and to provide the best possible payment services towards customers. In this context, ING Germany decided to migrate its Visa Debit card portfolio to Worldline’s best-in-class, host-free, fully digital platform. This migration was recently finalized successfully, a milestone that underlines the long partnership between the two companies.
The new platform reflects Worldline's innovative strategy in the payments industry, offering an infrastructure that is designed to meet future market demands. The platform enables ING Germany to operate more efficiently, reducing complexity with a host-free environment while enhancing scalability across both local and European markets. This migration allows ING Germany to leverage a seamless digital value chain, linking card-based payment transactions with digital banking services for an integrated and efficient customer experience.
Thorben Wegner, Head of Cards at ING Germany, says: "We are really happy with the successful migration to Worldline's Andromeda platform. The key success factor for this seamless and fast transition was the joining of forces of our team and the proven migration experts at Worldline. We now already see the new opportunities opened by Andromeda: an all-in-one, fully digital platform solution guaranteeing scalability and supporting our innovation pipeline. This will allow us to offer our customers an even more efficient and elevated card issuance experience."
Worldline’s state-of-the-art platform brings several advantages, from operational efficiency to enhanced autonomy. Its self-service capabilities allow customers to maintain and manage products more independently, reducing the need for complex programming and offering greater control over product updates.
