Worldline made the ECMA-370 ecological declaration for all its carbon neutral payment terminals

Bezons, May 26th, 2017 – Worldline, [Euronext: WLN] European leader in the payments and transactional services industry, announced today that it has made the ECMA-370 ecological declaration for its series of payment terminals YOMANI. As they are all carbon neutral products, it demonstrates that Worldline integrates its environmental challenges at every stage of the product lifecycle and promotes the diffusion of circular economy principles.

As part of its environmental commitment to provide sustainable solutions that address the CSR challenges of its clients, Worldline decided to make the ECMA-370 ecological declaration which integrates essential environmental measures that position these devices as best-in-class in the industry for the addressed environmental parameters.

Through this eco declaration, Worldline ensured that its payment terminals are integrated within a certified system for collection and recycling of end-of-life products, batteries and packaging material that count with fully transparent information. Moreover, Worldline provides safe and environmentally preferable materials in its terminals: its products are free from ozone depleting substances and are totally in compliance with the Reach and RoHS directives.

Furthermore, in order to grow the added value to the environmental performance of these payment terminals, Worldline decided to compensate all the carbon emissions linked to the lifecycle of the ones produced during 2016 which means that Worldline clients are using not only carbon neutral services, but also carbon neutral products.

Gilles Grapinet, Chief Executive Officer Worldline, stated:Through the ECMA-370 ecological declaration, Worldline illustrates its pioneering position in the consideration and the respect for the environment in the design and production of its solutions. We have designed our payment terminals to ensure that they integrate all of their environmental aspects at every stage of their own lifecycle and to encourage their energy efficiency. We are proving that reducing our environmental footprint is key in our business strategy.”
