For Sanitas, one thing is clear: access to healthcare needs to be as easy as possible for customers. When it comes to trends, the Swiss health insurer always has its finger on the pulse, striving to surprise with its innovative health products and services. Health is the most valuable commodity and digitisation is more than just a buzzword. However, an optimised online payment experience for customers is far from standard in the Swiss insurance industry. Together with Worldline Sanitas is taking on a pioneering role with Worldline.
The joint solution
To align themselves to customer needs, Sanitas determined customer requirements in a representative survey before the project phase began. The survey showed a clear leaning towards paying with new payment methods. This great potential in improving the online payment experience formed the basis for the successful collaboration with Worldline.
As a European market leader in the field of payment transactions and transaction services, Worldline is the preferred partner for Sanitas. The complete solution for credit cards and TWINT processing was developed together. The solution required storing card data in a completely secure environment. Saferpay’s PCI DSS certification requirement was met in full by Worldline.
The Sanitas Portal app now offers ‘credit card’ and ‘TWINT’ as a means of payment. After selecting the method, the customer is redirected to the Saferpay payment system.
With the new solution (focus on online customer experience) in place, card data is also automatically stored for recurring charges. Therefore it is very easy to manage information within the app.
