Cassa Centrale Banca Group and Worldline Italia conclude agreement on strategic partnership in merchant acquiring

The collaboration covers the provision of services along the value chain of digital payment acceptance and international acquiring, for the 1,480 bank branches of the Group's 66 member banks affiliated with Cassa Centrale across Italy.

The project involves the supply and management of POS terminals and exclusive contracting for international circuits for about 100,000 POS terminals, generating transacted volumes of more than 9 billion euros in 2023.

For the Cassa Centrale Banca Group, the initiative aims to further improve the quality of POS services offered to merchant customers by relaunching the offering with innovative and more competitive products and services on the market.

The agreement also enables the Cassa Centrale Banca Group to generate medium-term benefits and implement one of the initiatives in the Group's Strategic Plan 2023-2026.

For Worldline, this partnership will further consolidate its prominent position in the Italian payments market.

Worldline's expertise in Italy and around the world will ensure added-value in terms of innovation and evolution of the product portfolio for the benefit of the customers of the Group's Banks, who will be able to benefit from specialized and innovative solutions for a better customer experience with a consequent positive effect on their business.

The agreement is subject to approval by the relevant Authorities.
