Worldline Greece Concludes Its Roadshow in Major Tourist Destinations
Guided by the message "Fast & secure payment solutions, on the road” and supported by Mastercard, Worldline Greece's roadshow visited four key tourist destinations over eight days, highlighting the value of digital payment solutions for businesses across the hospitality, food service, retail and services sectors.
Athens — 24 / 07 / 2026 Worldline in Greece (Worldline Greece and Cardlink, a Worldline brand), with Mastercard’s support and Meletis Ilias as a brand ambassador, has successfully completed its roadshow across four of Greece's key tourist destinations: Kalamata, Paros, Naxos and Volos.
Over the course of eight days, the Worldline team travelled with its branded Van to the heart of local markets and tourist hotspots, engaging with business owners, tourism professionals and consumers while presenting payment solutions tailored to the real needs of local businesses, particularly those specializing in hospitality, food service, retail and B2C services.
Built around the message "Fast & secure payment solutions, on the road”, the initiative aimed to showcase how digital payment solutions can streamline everyday business operations, especially during the busy tourist season. It also enabled Worldline Greece to connect directly with business owners and professionals, better understand their needs and challenges, and gather valuable insights from local markets across Greece.
Discussions throughout the roadshow confirmed that businesses today are looking for solutions that combine ease of use, speed, security and operational flexibility, while also seeking partners who truly understand their specific needs and can support them in their everyday operations.
The participation of actor Meletis Ilias added a dynamic and engaging dimension to the roadshow, attracting merchants, local communities and visitors at every stop. Throughout the tour, he met with local business owners to discuss the realities of doing business during the busy tourist season, while visitors had the opportunity to meet him and take part in interactive activities at the Worldline Van, supported by Mastercard.
These face-to-face interactions turned the roadshow into more than a showcase of payment solutions: they created valuable opportunities for dialogue, enabling Worldline to connect directly with businesses and better understand their evolving needs.
Kalliopi Koufali, Commercial Director, SMB Segment at Worldline Greece, stated: "Our conversations with businesses throughout the roadshow confirmed that merchants are looking for more than just new technologies. They are looking for solutions that simplify their day-to-day operations and for partners who truly understand their needs. At Worldline, we believe innovation creates real value only when it is paired with a human approach and meaningful support."
The roadshow underlined Worldline's commitment to standing alongside businesses by providing comprehensive payment solutions and meaningful support that addresses the evolving needs of today's business community.
