Secured Smart Home with Worldline and devolo

Frankfurt/Main, 02.08.2016 - Worldline [Euronext: WLN], the European leader in payment and transactional services, strengthens its partnership with devolo AG, the leading European company on the market in Powerline communication solutions. As part of the partnership, devolo will provide its OEM products for a Worldline secured cloud solution. With Worldline Home Control, end-users are able to manage their networked devices on-the-go via their smartphone and/or tablet, while transmitted private data and information is secured. Visitors can experience and test the joint solution from devolo and Worldline from September, 2nd to 7th at the 2016 IFA in hall 11.1 booth 33.

The joint solution targets multi-service operators (MSO), such as Mobile Networks Operators, cable operators, utilities and insurance companies. With the solution they can offer their customers improved services, seamless control and a high level of security.

With Worldline Home Control, end-users have everything in the palm of their hand: from thermostats, window and door sensors, and also smoke detectors. They can always monitor the status of the devices via their smartphone and/or tablet and also control them remotely.

The necessary protection of data transmitted between devices is guaranteed by Worldline thanks to its secured Cloud-based solutions. Worldline ensures that not only authorized users can access the data but also that the transmitted information is encrypted.

Multi-Service Operators and end-users can discover the joint solution at the IFA in Berlin from September, 2nd to 7th. in TecWatch hall 11.1 on booth 33 where devolo and Worldline will present the "devolo Home Control Demo House". Visitors can test different scenarios on site with provided mobile devices to control lighting, thermostats and other electrical equipment in a recreated home-like environment. Furthermore, experts from Worldline and devolo will explain how the security at home can be monitored while they are away with smoke detectors, motion detectors and door sensors.
