    PAYMENTS WITH STRONG CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION

    The e-Commerce service fully supports the 3D Secure protocol that secures online card payments.

    To reduce the risk of fraud in online transactions, it implements Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). To secure transactions, you can use the guidelines for fraud prevention in e-commerce transactions.

    By 31/12/2020, businesses must adopt the new EMV 3D Secure protocol.

    SECURE ONLINE ENVIRONMENT

    Customers make their payments in Worldline's secure online environment. Access to Worldline's systems is protected by Firewall technology.

    The Firewall allows you to use certain services and block others. It also prevents unauthenticated users from gaining access to systems and databases containing confidential data and information.

    DATA ENCRYPTION

    The personal information of your customers who pay by card in your e-shop is protected by the TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol. Their info is transferred at 256-bit encryption using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol.

    This way, your e-shop does not have access to their personal data, e.g. card number and expiry date, CVV2 / CVC2 code.

  • With a Redirect or Direct connection, you can make transactions in your e-shop. Additionally, you can make telephone or postal sales.

    REDIRECT CONNECTION

    If you have a Redirect connection, the customer pays you for their purchases in your e-shop through Worldline's online environment.

    1. They make their purchases and are automatically transfered to Worldline's online environment to make their payment.
    2. They fill out their card information and complete their payment. You are automatically notified of the completion of the payment through the Worldline platform.
    3. Your e-shop is notified of the successful completion of the transaction. They then return to your company's e-shop.

     

    With a Redirect connection, your company's e-shop does not have access to the customer's card details. This facilitates the shop's certification according to PCI DSS standards.

    In addition, you can choose how the payment page is displayed in Worldline's online environment:

    • Redirection – use the payment page from Worldline's systems
    • iFrame – configure the payment page according to your ideas and aesthetics.

    DIRECT CONNECTION

    If you have a Direct connection, your customer makes their purchases in your e-shop and fills in their card details in the online environment of your business.

    Your customer's card details are securely transferred to Worldline (through the use of xml web service) and you are automatically notified when the transaction is completed. Your customer is informed by your e-shop about the completion of the payment.

    Direct connection is suitable if you manage a large volume of transactions. It is important for your business systems to:

    • Have developed infrastructure.
    • Transfer data with a minimum of 128bit encryption using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol.
    • Be certified according to PCI DSS standards.

    FOR TELEPHONE OR MAIL ORDERS

    Through the Virtual Terminal service you can easily make telephone or mail orders in your e-shop:

    1. Receive your customer's card details by phone or written authorisation.
    2. Enter the card details on the specially designed payment page of the Virtual Terminal service with the codes we give you.

    Payments by credit, debit or prepaid cards are protected in accordance with all security rules and standards.

    To connect to the Virtual Terminal service, you do not require any technical implementation. If you desire, you can integrate the telephone orders you receive into your company's commercial management system (ERP, CRM, Call Center, etc.).
