A complete digital identity portfolio for a frictionless user experience.

Europe has issued the eIDAS 2.0 which defines the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW). It is a digital wallet designed to securely host sensitive data for sharing identity details, authenticating or signing documents. Each member state must have launched EUDIW by December 2026. Organisations relying on Strong Customer Authentication shall accept EUDIW by December 2027.  Thus, banks shall have integrated this new authentication method by then.
In practice, this means connecting to at least 27 public wallets and a growing landscape of private ones, mastering a fast-evolving technical environment, and preserving the seamless experience that customers already expect.

The Worldline Digital Identity Hub was built precisely to answer this challenge and be effortlessly eIDAS 2.0 compliant.

Standard use cases

Through one single connection, Worldline Digital Identity Hub not only supports mandatory use cases, but also the ones that matter most to banks today. Thus, banks can benefit from the EUIDW all along their customer journey.

  • • Simplify and reduce onboarding costs.
  • • Enable online banking application connection with the EUDIW.
  • • Support payments directly with EUDIW.

What’s next

Today, with one single authentication, banks can perform only one action, such as proving age or executing a payment. Tomorrow, thanks to Worldline Digital Identity Hub, banks can combine actions upon one single consumer authentication. For example, a consumer can rent a car. In one click, they validate their age to benefit from the best tariff plan, communicate their certified driving license number, and pay the rent.

Don’t limit yourself to consuming the existing data, but monetise the data. For example, sell a proof of income that can be used by rental companies.
