What is your line of work? Why did you join the technology business in the first place? What motivated you?

Since I was very young, I have been attracted to digital interfaces. It started with video games and then with computers. I like the playful and intuitive way  of bringing the user to the appropriate interface to accomplish an action  simply. Afterwards, I wanted to assimilate these tools to contribute to the field in my way.

What do you find more challenging in your profession?

An important part of my work  is testing new technologies and new use cases. Then, I have to convince people to work or  be interested in technologies that can contribute to improving their products and give a vision of the uses of tomorrow. This requires a different way of communicating and/or a different timing depending on the interlocutors.

What are you most proud of in your work?

It is the tangible achievements that make me proud of my work. This translates into the development of demonstrators to showcase new uses and technologies. In this way, I can present my work at internal and external events such as trade shows or customer meetings. Sometimes, when all these steps have been successfully completed, and the idea has matured, the business teams take the idea over to make it even more concrete and start a pilot or improve their product.

How would you define digital accessibility?

As digital tools are varied, it is increasingly possible to adapt a user interface to the specific needs of each user. Digital accessibility  uses the various capabilities of new digital tools to allow and promote access to a service by the greatest number of users regardless of their difficulties.

How Worldline can contribute to increasing accessibility and digital inclusion?

Worldline is the leader in payments in Europe. Because of its position and its values, the company has a responsibility  to apply future rules on digital accessibility. From a business point of view, accessibility is what prevents loss and improves the overall user experience. Therefore, it is essential to think about it from the conception of our products and to set up test phases with users from different horizons as soon as possible in the development process.
