What´s a typical day in your work in Integrator Support at Worldline?

My work is separated into home working and office days. When working from home I focus more on administrative tasks of my role – Jira, reports, presales and team meetings etc. Office days are reserved for ‘physical’ activities such as different tests including hardware. In the background there is continuous support of Integrators via e-mail or phone.

How does the work you do impact the world around us?

Integrations make life easier for both merchants and their customers. For merchants, integrations primarily make management of Point of Sale (POS), along with data analysis, easier and helps improve service. Their customers benefit by having a smoother experience and easier access to different ways of paying. A meticulous support of integrations also supports our company, by reducing workload of teams dealing with issues that might occur with a live solution. So, I´d say the impact is quite big!

What do you think is the next big thing in integrations?

I believe that the next big things for integrations are value-added services and cloud-based POS software. With terminals themselves, we will most likely see a slow ‘death’ of standalone, with merchants choosing either integrated solutions or options like SoftPos using smartphones with NFC to accept payments.

What´s the best thing about working at Worldline?

I really value the fact that the work we do at Worldline has appreciable and detectable meaning for people all around the world. Our company supports merchants by allowing them to generate more sales (more than once that I’ve had to buy less or even nothing due to not having enough cash with me). And their customers aren’t forced to walk around with a lot of cash (especially as tourists). One could even argue that we support minimalisation of grey and black markets by making transactions legitimate.

How has Worldline helped you develop and grow professionally?

Worldline has truly supported the development of my career in the direction that I wanted – technology. The team I am part of was also built in a very thoughtful way, bringing together employees that have complementary skills, which is great!

What are the culture and people like at Worldline?

The culture at Worldline is the product of our international workforce, which makes cooperation interesting and valuable. Here in Warsaw, our office is also developing really fast and is full of young, communicative people which makes office days highly enjoyable!

What´s key to success when working in a global company like Worldline?

I think that being polite and always trying to understand the other side’s point of view are keys to success, particularly when working in a global company like Worldline.

What drives you at work?

I´m actually driven by many things. The satisfaction gained from successfully completed projects, the continuous growth of our company, and the development of new innovative solutions are all examples of things that drive me at work. And the fact that our work is tangible – that I actually can go to a store or restaurant or hotel and tell people around me that this payment solution is ‘mine’ – is a nice motivator!

What is your passion in life, and how do you pursue it?

The pursuit of most of my passions have been put on hold for a while after becoming a father last year. But I’m most passionate about quizzes (preferably in pubs), linguistics, cinema and gaming!
