If you’re inspired by a world where technology and its benefits are for everyone, then take a look at a career with Worldline. For Teodora it’s all about using the power of technology to enable us to do greater things.

What's a typical day in the life of a DevOps manager at Worldline?

During the last two years, the typical days in the office have been replaced with typical days working from home, while keeping the same level of intensity and interaction. In my current role, most of the time I’m in contact with my teams or counterparts from other departments, helping wherever I can with removing obstacles and making sure others can progress with their work.

How does the work you do as a DevOps manager impact the world around us?

I’m lucky to be part of an environment that brings progress to the world, from my perspective. Payments are able to transform people’s lives, making things easier and more secure, giving them more freedom, more options.

What do you think is the next big thing when it comes to payments technology?

I strongly believe that Distributed Ledger Technology has great potential to become the next big thing in payments, and I can´t wait to see it happen!

What's the best thing about working at Worldline?

I think “people” are Worldline’s biggest asset. I’m working with fantastic teams in a multicultural environment, sharing both challenges as well as a lot of fun moments.

How has Worldline helped you develop and grow professionally?

Worldline is a large company, with more than 20,000 people in over 50 countries. This brings with it the advantage of always having areas of development. You only need to show interest, prove your skills and be committed. If you do that, you’ll always be supported to grow your career!

What are the culture and the people like at Worldline?

Worldline really is a multicultural place where people understand and respect each other, generating the best out of our interactions together. To me this is one of the best things here, as I have been able to see over time what the advantages are of nurturing such an environment.

What drives you at work?

I believe we can always do things better, that there's always room for improvement. We should never stop. And especially in my area, we have technology. And this is here to aid us; not only to take care of mundane tasks that drain the quality of our daily lives, but also to enable us to do greater things that we otherwise wouldn't be able to do. Technology must be a common good, otherwise what's the use of it? If access to it is limited to a few individuals, we don't improve the world. This is why I believe in driving technology forward and in open solutions.

What is your passion in life, and how do you pursue it?

Tennis is my biggest passion. I love watching tennis, and I also play. Despite being extremely busy during the day at work, I always find time to train. And I never ever miss a Grand Slam final!
