Jani Ristimäki is Head of Financial Services Consulting in BearingPoint Finland. He has over 20 years of experience in banking and financial services industry. Prior to joining BearingPoint in 2017, Mr. Ristimäki headed cards and payments product development in OP Financial Group, worked as a strategy manager at Nets, and in various strategy and business development roles in Luottokunta, a former Finnish payment card operator. His professional focus areas cover strategy and business development, product and service innovations and organizational development. Along his career Mr. Ristimäki has been witnessing consolidation and digital evolution of European payments’ landscape as well as emergence of new banking business and operating models of the Digital Age. Mr. Ristimäki has been the facilitator of EBA Digital Currencies and Smart Payments Working Group since 2022.
